Prof. Mike Redfern has been interested in high resolution astronomy (high spatial resolution and high time resolution imaging), particularly in development of the instrumentation. Currently, he has a unique very high time resolution Imaging Stokes Polarimeter (called ) which will be used for polarimetric mapping of pulsars, other rotating magnetised neutron stars, and slower objects such as magnetised CVs (polars).
